Role Overview:

The Monitoring Associate (Night Shift) will oversee cloud and data infrastructure during off-hours, ensuring system uptime and quick response to alerts. The role involves monitoring Azure resources, handling incidents, performing health checks, and escalating critical issues as needed. Candidates should have strong SQL skills, basic Azure or AWS knowledge, and sound troubleshooting abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree or more in Computer Science or a related field.
• Good understanding and experience in SQL is a must.
• Good understanding of distributed processing technologies (Spark, MapReduce etc.) with a focus on internals
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Should have Azure Microsoft or AWS basic knowledge.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Monitor Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, databases) during night shifts.
• Track and respond to alerts generated in Azure Monitor / Log Analytics.
• Raise and update incident tickets in tools like ServiceNow / Jira.
• Escalate critical issues to senior engineers or L2/L3 support teams.
• Perform basic health checks and validation of scheduled jobs and services.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and observations for knowledge sharing.
• Ensure smooth handover of tasks to the day support team.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for monitoring and issue handling.
• Maintain SLA compliance by timely acknowledgment of alerts and tickets.
• Support continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues or anomalies.
• Should be flexible for night shift.
